From pumpkin patches, to festivals, and quick trips to the Blue Ridge Mountains, there are plenty of ways to maximize the Fall vibes in the Queen City. One of the perks of living in Charlotte is the close proximity to the NC mountains! We're about a 2 hour drive away from both Boone and Asheville, both beautiful mountain towns with access to the Blue Ridge Parkway. Some of our favorite scenic hikes near Boone are Rough Ridge, Linville Falls, and Beacon Heights. Near Asheville, we like to visit Mount Mitchell, Hawksbill Mountain, and Devil's Courthouse.
Some of our go-to coffee spots are Summit Coffee, Not Just Coffee, and Waterbean Coffee.
Charlotte International Arts Festival
September 1st-30th. Experience imaginative arts' experiences as parts of Uptown and Ballantyne are transformed with over 200 arts attractions.
September 5th-7th. Celebrate Greek culture with Greek cuisine, music, and cultural exhibits.
September 12th-October 12th (Weekends). Four weekends of German cuisine, live music, biergartens, and stein holding contests at Olde Mecklenburg Brewery
September 19th-21st. Celebrate the 61st annual Festival in the Park with food, games, vendors, and more!
October 4th-November 23rd (Saturdays & Sundays). Enjoy castles, arts & theater, marketplace, games and more!
October 17th-19th. Take a trip to Statesville to celebrate this hot air balloon festival!
